Linden Park U15s continued their unbeaten run in the League after a comfortable win against Tunbridge Wells U16 girls at The Neville.
After winning the toss, captain Archie put TWells in to bat and this proved a wise decision when both openers fell cheaply to some excellent bowling from Matt L. This brought two strong Kent batters to the crease, who showed determined resistance against our bowling attack, before Tom bowled a superb delivery to remove their number 3. A further batter fell to a sharp run out by Jake, with another two falling victim to Harry’s left arm spin. With TWells now firmly on the back foot at 63-6, some excellent bowling from Omar and Dishan, with a catch from Patrick, mopped up the tail, leaving TWells 79 all out.
Chasing a low total, opener Archie hit a quickfire 26 to get Park off to a flying start. This gave the opportunity to the two Matts to play freely and some wonderful strokes followed. A flurry of wickets left Park needing 10 to win when Tom came in, with the game being finished off in style by Matt L hitting a fine shot for 4, securing for him the man of the match award.
