BYG U12 Girls v U11 Vikings

The Vikings travelled to Frant to play BYG and were fortunate that a supporting player, Adam , was there and helped to make up the 8. Vikings won the toss and elected to field. BYG struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking over and lost 6 wickets in the first 8 overs being reduced to 196 with excellent bowling from Oscar, Jonah, Freddie D and James. BYG then fought back with some big hitting and good running, together with extras getting them to 251 for 8. Good controlled batting and a couple of dropped catches saw the Vikings reach 250 for 0 after 8 overs, with Jonah scoring 11 and James 10. Jack (11) an Adam moved the score onto 279, but BYG fought back well to take 2 wickets late on. A good start to the season and a match played in great spirit in a lovely location.
