Result LP won by 9 wickets in the 9th over, a fantastic overall performance.
LP won the toss and put TWCC into bat. A good opening over from Max, in which he bowled their dangerous opening batsman for 0, put TW on the back foot from the beginning of their innings. Thereafter TW struggled, being all out for 87 runs after 19 overs and 2 balls. The LP bowlers had the upper hand throughout the innings and limited the TW batsmen’s scoring - 14 runs being the highest individual score. Most of the LP bowlers chipped in with wickets, Patrick and Caiden taking two each. Another positive contribution was the tidy wicket keeping from George, including two sharp catches. The only negative with the bowling was the number of extras given away (47), which hopefully will improve with more practise as the season progresses.
The opening batsmen from LP took control of the match, with brilliant knocks from George retiring on 32 runs and Myles been bowled for 27 runs. LP passed the TW score in the 9th over with only one wicket falling, recording a comfortable win.
TW then kindly bowled their full 20 overs, giving both sides some much needed practice.
