Despite this being the first foray into league softball cricket for the newly formed Women's Softball squad, the players played incredibly well in very hot conditions playing 3 matches of @45 mins each match.

Narrow losses to Capel (by 6 runs) and Castle Hill (15 runs) was followed by a gutsy performance against the reigning Kent outdoor champions and indoor runners-up, Linton Park. Although Linton Park took 8 wickets which cost us 40 runs, we restricted them to under 100 runs (the only team there to achieve that).

Very enjoyable, some good progress being shown in batting, bowling and fielding and a very sociable day!
